Good Noose, Everyone!
The gallows (built, according to the plaque on the crossbeam, by villagers named Ernest and Julio) tower above the village square, a testament to the dangers associated with breaking the law among primitives.
If the noose hasn't been painted pink:
For some reason, there's a can of pink paint sitting on the edge of the platform.
If the noose has been painted pink:
The noose has been painted a festive pink. How cheerful!
With a clanmate standing on the trapdoor:
Your clanmate <clanmate> is standing on the trapdoor beneath the noose.
With the lever having been pulled this instance:
The trapdoor beneath the noose is hanging open.

- You use the entire can of paint to make the noose as pink as it is possible for a noose to be. There. That's way less grim.

- Your clanmate <clanmate> is already standing on the trap door. This isn't a tandem gallows. Though that'd be really efficient, if you had a lot of dudes to hang and not a lot of time. Maureen, remind me to file a patent on that idea.

- You pull the lever, sending your clanmate <Clanmate> hurtling through the floor of the gallows platform. Whee!

- There's no reason to pull that lever now.

- You can't hang with this gallows, so you leave.

Notes
- The player who stands on the Gallows trap door will receive an item when a second player pulls the lever. The item received is class-dependent:
- As a Muscle class:
- Your clanmate <Clanmate> pulls the lever, opening the trapdoor beneath you. Whee!
- You land on a pile of old, old bones. You get up and dust yourself off, but something interesting catches your eye:
