Talk:Old school flying disc

The page has this in the item description: "[Jick: Code to do 1000-5000 damage, 1-3 rounds later. It'd be narratively nice if it mentioned your familiar by name when you throw it up in the air, like he wanted to chase after it, but you caution him not to, or something... (Ie, the +5 familiar weight enchant)]", but I don't see that on the in-game item. Was this text really there for a while? --Club (#66669) (Talk) 20:46, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Yes, it was. I guess they weren't expecting someone to get the items that quickly. Or just one of their usual little mistakes with new content. --Flargen 23:04, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Just as a warning...this item currently does nothing in combat, and is consumed upon use. I've filed a bug report, but it'd be a good idea if you manage to get one, to NOT USE IT IN COMBAT! You can still equip it with no problems.--WhiskeyJack 02:41, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Yeah, same with the lawn dart. --Flargen 02:58, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

What happens if you use this when you don't have a Familiar equipped?--Nod Flenders 06:23, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

I put your post at the bottom, newer posts go at the bottom. I was also wandering that, though. --Starguy 04:42, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

"You make like a statue of a guy with a discus, and hurl the stone frisbee as hard as you can." That's the whole message. --billybobfred 21:36, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
