It just means that if you finish all your turns and still have maps left to get, then they'll still be potentially obtainable the next time you drink a potion. This means every potion you drink entitles you to one map, which you will eventually get, even if it doesn't drop during those 20 turns of the effect. So to answer your question, no. ***i understood that the drop mechanic was that if you use one potion you're guaranteed to get one and only one map in the twenty turns of the effect. which means that if you adventure elsewhere until you have one turn left, you are guaranteed a map to drop in that one turn. my reading of jick's post is that if you don't get one in those twenty turns (because you went off and did something else,) the one you missed will be added to the one you're guaranteed in the next twenty turns of the effect. so, the next time you adventure down the rabbit hole for twenty turns, in those twenty turns you'll get two maps. can you see where i went with this and why? in not letting you lose out on maps, it appears that he's opened a loophole to let you get only maps all the time. i am of course mistaken, but how? --[[User:Evilkolbot|Evilkolbot]] 19:18, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
****My understanding is that the maps are a normal 10% drop with a conditional added on, that the number of potions you've drank this ascension is higher than the number of maps you've received. It's just a normal item drop in all other respects. If you neck all 19 potions at once, you'd expect to get all of the maps in 190 turns in the garden on average (I don't think item drop modifiers work). If you drink all 19 potions, SGEEA all those turns of the buff away and then drink another, you'd expect to get 2 maps during those 20 turns on average. The other 18 maps will be waiting for you with a 10% drop chance the next time you adventure there.--[[User:Melon|Melon]] 19:43, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
