Off in a small alcove in the side of the cave, you find a metal cage about the size of a phone booth -- wait, do you remember phone booths? They were like glass coffins you stand in to talk on the phone, which makes them worse than regular coffins.

''Anyway'', there's this metal cage here, which the bats probably use whenever they want to spend some time practicing. The key is in the lock, so you take it, for no better reason than that you're an adventurer, and it isn't nailed down.
