*Formerly required in order to defeat the [[Big Meat Golem]] in [[The Sorceress' Tower (The Stairs)|The Sorceress' Tower]].
*The best place to use this item is on the [[dirty thieving brigand]]s in [[The Themthar Hills]], due to their inordinately high Meat drop.
*Using two of these items with [[Ambidextrous Funkslinging]] results in wasting one.
*If you use a meat vortex on a monster, then cast [[CLEESH]], you can use another meat vortex on the frog, newt, or salamander (only getting about 5 meat).
