I know what it does!!(part of it at least). My Knob Goblin Tongs got additional fire damage when attacking. I was doing 7 damage and there was also 7 fire damage done. Whether this is a coincidence or the fire actually does the same damage as your weapon again but fire type I don't know. That was my last adventure!! *No. "Like [his/her/its] head was on fire and [his/her/its] ass was catching" is a common phrase for describing someone running, usually when they're moving fast and are frightened. It's not used much, though, and the only source I could think of besides just being a funny turn of phrase is Charlie Daniels' Uneasy Rider. This effect sure seems to make me miss a lot against the monsters in the fright factory.  Gone through about 200 turns with my multi and he didn't miss once. **No, I can confirm this.  I've been taking some notes and with the fire on I was missing about 60% of the time.  Swapped for the wolf mask and I'm now hitting just on 80% of the time.  Fumbles seem to be about the same.  When I use  Kneebutt and HeadButt (I don't have thrust smack, but I presume it would work the same), I'm getting a far better ratio with the fire on (hits around 85% of the time).  With the wolf mask, it hits about 95% of the time.  I need to do a longer analysis (more turns) to be sure, but it looks like it's panning out this way.--[[User:Angel|Angel]] 20:15, 6 December 2006 (CST)

**It takes me 8 solid hits (or thereabouts) to put the creature down.  After I changed to the wolf mask I was getting 8 hits to 2 or 3 misses with a fumble every two adventures (or thereabouts).  While I was using fire I was getting around 8 hits to 5 or 6 misses.  This is over about 50 adventures - with fire and without (I mentioned I needed a bigger sample size).  I'll try it again using a non muscle modifying hat after rollover. *The reason I asked about Thrust Smack is because if you have Eye of the Stout, which is reasonable to assume you do, it can't miss at all.  That kind of skewers the point behind testing for misses.  However, if you do miss with fire on and those two skills, then it does prove the miss theory because it's impossible to miss even the Naughty Sorceress with those. Problem is, I was using the shillelagh and had Eye of the Stout which gave 67 critical hits so that's kind of skewed. **Yeah, I agree with Angel in that the misses may be because of the progressively harder scaling as we progress into the future.  I'm barely hitting the Crimborgs at all with normal attacks.  Well if this effect does give elemental weaknesses, it should be easy to find out. I've kept records for using 13,100 {{plural|Knob GÃ¶blin lÃ²ve potion}} since April 2010 (also: it is very expensive to use that many) and I've never gotten this effect from any of them.
