Here is where I keep some tips for optimal ascending. These will be decidedly HC relevant, since that's my game.

==Sewer Leveling==
Summary of RoyalTonberry's posts on strategy

You need to be able to kill gators at worst which can be helped by
*PERMS
**+60% init ([[Overdeveloped Sense of Self Preservation]] + [[Springy Fusilli]]
**[[Entangling Noodles]]
**An attack spell ([[Saucegeyser]]+[[Jabañero Saucesphere]][[Bander]]=6MP for highest damage/mp, and/or [[Stringozzi Serpent]], etc.)
**+spell damage ([[Flavour of Magic]], [[Jackasses' Symphony of Destruction]], [[Intrinsic Spiciness]])
*Mr. Items
**+spell damage ([[Sugar chapeau]], [[Mental A-cue-ity]], and to a lesser extent [[rock band sticker]]s)
**[[Bander]] makes noodles last 3 rounds, and has other bonuses

From 20 myst with +25 spell damage and +100% spell damage you should be able to deal 150 damage per round, killing the monsters within 3 rounds. Geyser+Jabañero+Bander+Chapeau+Acueity costs 7 mp average on a 3-geyser kill.

Saucerors can generate lots of MP from [[Sauce Synergy]]

Without a bander [[Stringozzi Serpent]] is a great perm for damage/MP early on.

the rabbit hole might also be an option for fast substats (+50 per foodstuff), and scaling monsters with a lower barrier to entry

==The Mysterious Island Quest==
There's debate on where to use it, but a 4-d camera can go a long way. Either by fighting a camera'd [[Dirty thieving brigand|brigand]] as a frat before you have access, or by copying [[Lobsterfrogman|lobsterfrogmen]]

==Twinkly Wads==
If you're in hardcore and not a muscle class getting wads is a bitch. This list is to help lessen the bitchness.
Once you reach the level 12 war it should be pretty easy to get wads.
I haven't included armorcraftiness items, because without that skill or inigo's permed it's worthless to me.
Highlighted items will be unique per ascension; Make sure to exhaust other options before smashing them.
