Volante is an on-again/off-again character who has been through several dormant periods.  He was first a Disco Bandit, and was named for the fictional ship, ''Disco Volante''; not the real album.

He is the leader of a clan he did not start or name, Colonel Lingus' Carpet Chewers.

He has deletion immunity, but doesn't seem to recall ever owning a droid.  Mr. Accessory.  Further research suggests he received this from the Dreidl he got for Crimbo 2k4.
