*you edited your contribution to [[Discussion#Misspelling Redirects]]. this is an absolute no-no. the rule is that you must never edit talk pages. you can add to them, but you must never, ever, edit them. that's the rule. there are exceptions to this rule, of course. you can clear out whole conversations once they are done if they're on your talk page. i guess it's ok to correct a typo if no-one's responded, but even then that's probably still forbidden and other mods may yell at you. two things are never allowed, though. editing other user's talk in any way whatsoever and that includes typos; editing your own talk for sense after it's been responded to. you did the latter of these and consider this if not a warning then a heads up. --[[User:Evilkolbot|Evilkolbot]] 06:55, 20 May 2008 (CDT)
**For clarification, the problem with editing your own messages ''after'' they have been replied to is that it can change the context of other people's replies - for example, if one were to ask one question, get several answers, and then reword your question to change its meaning, existing replies would no longer make sense. Editing your comments ''immediately'' after having posted them (and before anybody gets a chance to reply) is perfectly acceptable, though you really should be using the '''Preview''' function to avoid having to revise your own comments. --{{User:Quietust/sig}} 08:01, 20 May 2008 (CDT)

Also, with the statement "perhaps someone with wider wiki experience could clarify how off-bass i am" you imply that only someone with more experience than you is qualified to make decisions about redirects.  I believe that  it will be difficult to find that person as the wiki, as a way for people to share information, has not been around very long.  If you are suggesting with that statement that I, Sp8z, do not have enough wiki experience to make apposite contributions to policy concerning redirects, than I see that as condescending.
