This is a whirling disk with a hypnotic pattern on it. If you hold this thing out in your off hand and spin it, monsters will be really freaked out. Like, whoah.

- Marvel comics has a supervillain named The Ringmaster (with his Circus of Crime), who steals valuables by hypnotizing his victims with a special swirly disc attached to a stove-pipe hat.
- Possibly also a reference to Rob Cockerham's Hypno-disk, which has apparently been imitated at basketball games.
