References
- The name of this trophy is a play on a famous line, "Let my people go", repeated through chapters 5-10 of the book of Exodus. The line was used in the African-American spiritual song, Go Down, Moses, one of many such songs popularised on the concert stage by Paul Robeson: also quoted in the 1956 movie, The Ten Commandments where Charlton Heston, as Moses, speaks this line to Pharaoh.
- The filename of the image, "you_damned_dirty_human.gif", is a reference to another Charlton Heston movie. He spoke the infamous line "Get your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape!", in the 1968 movie Planet of the Apes.
