This is a crescent wrench, or a "spanner" as it's called in parts of the world where they think football is played with a round ball instead of one shaped like a zeppelin. It doesn't appear to be a particularly fertile crescent wrench, which is good; at least you won't have to worry about your tool drawer filling up with little tiny socket sets.
You should probably return this to Yossarian before things get weirder than they already are.
