- Against unkillable monsters:

| You hurl the brick at your foe. It strikes a glancing blow, and only deals 400-600? damage. |
- Subsequent uses:

| You can't bear to use any more of those horrible things today. |
Notes
- Against non-instakillable monsters (including those from CLEESH), this will fail to free kill and instead deal damage.
- Using a shadow brick against a non-instakillable monster will count towards the 13/day limit.
