You are in Engineering.
It has been <n> minutes since you first heard the red alert. You are holding a flute/a visor/a phaser/a tricoder/<booze>. |
Wait a minute |
Play the flute for a while |
This doesn't seem like an appropriate place to play the flute.
Speak to Ronny |
You approach Ronny who is typing and talking away at a computer terminal.
"Can we filter certain elements out of the ship's atmosphere?" |
"I s'pose Captain, what element?"
"Argon, Ronny." |
"Helium, Ronny." |
"Hydrogen, Ronny." |
"Methane, Ronny." |
"Neon, Ronny." |
- "Sure, gimme a minute," Ronny says as he bangs away at the keyboard, "configuring the scrubbers to remove neon during the recirculation phase."
- "Ok, all set. Computer execute," he commands.
- "What was that s'pose to do, Replacement Sergeant?"
If the cloud alien is on board, and the appropriate element is chosen:
- "Sure, gimme a minute," Ronny says as he bangs away at the keyboard, "configuring the scrubbers to remove <element> during the recirculation phase."
- "Ok, all set. Computer execute," he commands.
- A few moments pass and your comunicator chirps, "Admiral, the cloud is gone from the bridge. It seems to have been sucked in to the ventilation system. Damage to the bridge is minimal and we are no longer receiving any signals from the alien."
- After returning to stardock, there is an awards ceremony. Just as your commanding officer is pinning a medal to your uniform, you feel yourself being pulled back from the future.
- "Well," you think, "at least I have the memory of earning X medals in the future."
You earn one medal in the future for this solution.
"Oxygen, Ronny." |
- "Oxygen's kinda important for breathin', First Ensign."
- "Oh yeah, let's not do that."
"Tell me about the computer." |
- "Well, she's yer basic crystal-matrix cpu with onboard fusion ram running Spacenix 141."
- "I see. And when you are typing away and doing fantastic things, what are you doing," you ask.
- "Just some basic hackin'. Pokin them registers and such."
- "How'd you learn to do that?"
- "Ran through the Computers fer Dummies Holofloor program a time or so."
Unlocks the "Computer, activate Computers for Dummies program." option in the Holofloor.
"Knock, knock." |
- "I don't have time for this, Replacement Sergeant."
- "Who's thar?"
- "Opportunity"
- "No, you tried this line on me during the last war."
- "Who's thar?"
- "Interrupting Sergeant"
- "Interrupting Sub- Petty wh-"
- "Hey there, Ronny."
- "Who's thar?"
- "Space"
- "Space who?"
- "Space: the final frontier."
"Good bye, Ronny." |
Looks like you spent about a minute with Ronny..
