Tower Most Tall

You are at the base of the immense spiraling staircase that leads up through the tallest tower in the castle. Three doors grab your attention. One has a big stack of books spilling out of it, one crackles with the repetitive thrumming of a Jacob's ladder, and one of them smells like pillows.

Go to the laboratory

With a Dreadsylvanian skeleton key:

You use your skeleton key to unlock door to the laboratory. Unfortunately, the lock is electrified, and it incinerates the key shortly afterwards.

If the laboratory hasn't been unlocked yet:

Unfortunately, the laboratory door is locked. Also unfortunately, you don't have a key. Fortunately, you can go get a key at the Terrified Eagle.

If you've already done this adventure in this instance:

An arc of electricity blasts out of the laboratory door and knocks you down the stairs.

Books. Check them out.

If you are a Myst class:

As you approach the door to the library, flaming runes spring up in midair in front of you. You quickly translate them: "ATTENTION! THESE RUNES DON'T MEAN ANYTHING. GO ON IN."

Cool.

Else:

As you approach the door to the library, flaming runes spring up in midair in front of you. You can't read them, so you figure it's safer to just leave. Maybe one of your more Mystical clanmates would have better luck here.

If you've already done this adventure in this instance:

A gust of wind bursts out of the library door and blows a bunch of dust and scraps down the stairs. And also you.

Go to the bedroom
You saunter into the bedroom.

If you've already done this adventure in this instance:

The bedroom door slams shut as you approach. The castle must have a headache.

Use a ghost pencil

(This option only appears with a ghost pencil in inventory)

You stick the ghost pencil into your head and annotate your mental map of the area. You'll be able to find your way back here really easily now.

Leave
Like the opposite of Childe Roland, you leave the tower.

Occurs at Dreadsylvanian Castle.

Notes

  • Using a ghost pencil adds a link to this non-combat onto your Dreadsylvania main map. This persists between dungeon instances.
