I was fighting in the bedroom with my monster avoidance set high enough that I never got a combat adventure. I chose to fight every mahogany nightstand for several hundred turns without getting the memo. I changed my gear to encourage combat adventures. The first unprovoked fight with a mahogany nightstand, I got the memo. | |||

Memo only on "natural" combats?
