Was any explanation ever offered for why the chef drops meat but the master chef does not? --Voort 12:25, 3 September 2006 (CDT)
I did 20 turns of spading/farming for spices. The other two monsters were banished, so I fought only master chefs. 20 turns is the duration of the Brother Burrito blessing, which is why the data set is so small. :-(
At a total of +348.86% initial food+item drop rate (with a stable-weight cheerleader), I got 13 spices in 20 turns. Observed net drop rate 65%. If the base drop rate were 10%, the expected net rate would be 44.9%. If the base drop rate were 15%, the expected net rate would be 67.3%.
My cheerleader actually dropped to 3/4 steam at some point during this spading, so the data set is not only small, but also tainted. However, I feel 15% is a much better figure than 12.8%. Feel free to conduct your own spading to disprove my findings. --Greycat (talk) 16:06, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

For the record:
Crit (presumedly, from existing page): He pulls out a whisk and briskly whisks you up one side and down the other. You wish you had some whiskey to numb the whisk factor. Seems like this chef has a whisk addiction. Ooh! Oof!
Fumble: He starts to pound on you with a meat tenderizing hammer, but makes too much noise. He runs back to the oven and finds his souffle has collapsed, which cause him to collapse in tears.
Yes, the fumble message has italics in it. Gasp. -Fatmus 19:52, 1 September 2006 (CDT)

Crit/Fumble

For the record:

Crit (presumedly, from existing page): He pulls out a whisk and briskly whisks you up one side and down the other. You wish you had some whiskey to numb the whisk factor. Seems like this chef has a whisk addiction. Ooh! Oof!

Fumble: He starts to pound on you with a meat tenderizing hammer, but makes too much noise. He runs back to the oven and finds his souffle has collapsed, which cause him to collapse in tears.
