I would like to dispute the given 12% droprate. With the gnome skill and a pumpkin bucket (and pilgrim shield if even applies) it takes usually around 15-25 worms before i get the drop. Don't think I've ever gotten it in less then 10 with that same setup. (Even with the flamming shirt it's more then 10) --Plater (t|c) 08:30, 5 February 2008 (CST)
The pilgrim shield applies to weapons, and the gland ain't a weapon. The gnome skill and pumpkin bucket at 23%, which means that your drop rate is 1.23 * the drop rate of the gland. If the drop rate is 12% regularly, then your modifiers make it 15%, which is still pretty squat.--Foggy 09:32, 5 February 2008 (CST)
I know, but the RNG was cursing me with 5% drop rate it seems. It took me 74turns to do that quest by itself. I'm just bitter because that quest ALWAYS takes the longest for me. --Plater (t|c) 10:43, 5 February 2008 (CST)

Testing with a Disco Bandit with both nimble fingers and mad looting skillz, I had 140 adventures, with 29 glands dropping. Meat range was 49-70, and the gaps in meat drops (53, 59, 65) were consistent with the projected 20% meat drop rate. Adjusting for the meat drop %, the range becomes 41-59. Got the higher extreme, but not the lower, so it does seem the range is 41-60...which is weird, but weird numbers are o-tay.
Out of 250 adventures (incl. the 140 above), I got 51 glands. That's 20%, or 17% adjusted for Mad Looting Skillz. The +/- is 5%, so more spading is needed to narrow down the percentage.--Foggy 08:58, 24 October 2007 (CDT)

Current results: 12.2%, standard error of 1%. That pretty much rules out 15%, and makes a 10% drop rate pretty unlikely. Doing this with +100% item drop would have halved the uncertainty; is there a reason you didn't? --Starwed 15:00, 17 November 2007 (CST) |

Do item drop increases help get these glands? -Willie Christ 14:00, 10 July 2007. (EPT)

Drop Rate
With +49% item drop (phat loot, miner's hat, gnauga hide whip, 3 rabbit feet) I got 17 in 101 adventures. Drop Rate/Meat Drop
