| ===RF's 5-day Hardcore Guide!===
| | Best NS13 speed runs |
| Welcome!

|
| |
|
| So I wanted to write a guide to make it easier for players to complete swift Hardcore ascensions. As a note to keep you from getting mad at me, I can't guarantee that you will make a 5-day run just by following my guide. Some things just are out of my control! But if your HCNP ascensions are usually 10+ days, I think I can help you cut your daycount a bit.
| | HCNP 4/767 & 240/328
|
| | | SCNP 2/748 & 3/576
|
| Now it's pretty much impossible to do a 5-day HCNP without at least a few skills, so I will be assuming that you have a few bare essentials.

| *Superhuman Cocktailcrafting
| |
| *Advanced Cocktailcrafting
| |
| *The Ode to Booze
| |
| *The Moxious Madrigal
| |
| *The Magical Mojomuscular Melody
| |
| *Pastamastery
| |
| *Advanced Saucecrafting
| |
| *Amphibian Sympathy
| |
| | |
| The reasons that I recommend these skills particularly are for 3 reasons.
| |
| * Turn generation. This applies to the cocktailcrafting skills, the pasta and sauce skills, and Ode.
| |
| * Survival. Moxious Madrigal. 5/10 turns of +10 Moxie for 2 mp? Hells yes! I'm assuming that if you're low-skilled, you will be plinking.
| |
| * Utility. Melody is underrated. +10 Myst and +20 MP? Why? Well, I'll tell you why. Many players have difficulty just casting their summons on day 1 because they don't have enough max MP. Or their max MP isn't very high and they lose potential MP from tonic water. That is a shame, and I don't want you to suffer like that! (And Sympathy should be just obviously good!)

| | |
| If you have other skills, awesome! I will hold you to a higher standard, MWAHAHAH! I might add a skill ranking guide later on. If I do, it will be located here - Skill Rankings.

| | |
| For familiars, you have a lot of options. Without experience it is hard to discern what familiars are actually worth their price tag. To me, these familiars are indispensable.
| |
| | |
| *Llama Lama
| |
| *Slimeling
| |
| *Jumpsuited Hound Dog
| |
| *He-Boulder
| |
| | |
| My reasoning for these familiars is that they cover all your bases. The llama provides spleen and stats. The slimeling provides +item drops and MP. The hound provides bonus +item drops and helps avoid annoying non-combats. And the boulder is just silly good.
| |
| | |
| There are obviously other familiars that help fill different niches, and I will discuss those during the
