Cobb's Knob oven You're fighting a Cobb's Knob oven

As you enter the kitchen, you feel a blast of hot air from behind you. Er, behind you and to the left, because the door is behind you.

You turn to face one of the magically-animated ovens the Knob Chefs enslave for their nefarious purposes. Their nefarious... cooking purposes.

This one has decided to throw off the shackles of servitude, and you're now standing between it and its freedom. Because you moved, since the last time I described your position.

Hit Message(s):

It sticks your head in its oven, which has uncomfortable and vaguely unsavory connotations. Argh! Oof! Oof! (hot damage)

It brands a spiraling shape onto your stomach with its burner. Great, now everyone will want to see that groovy thing. Oof! Ugh! Eek! (hot damage)

It really makes your blood boil, the way it just stuck its burner on your <foot>. No, I mean, literally. Ooh! Ouch! Ooh! (hot damage)

It turns your <foot> into flame-roasted cajun <foot>. Yum! I mean, ow! Ow! Oof! Ow! (hot damage)

Critical Hit Message:

It slow-roasts your elbow and your kidney. You wish it would have gotten it over with quickly.Ooh! Ooh! Argh! (hot damage)

Miss Message(s):

It lunges at you, but you throw it into 'self-clean' mode and lock its door shut.

It makes your blood boil with political rhetoric, but thankfully doesn't do so in the more literal sense.

It tries to flame-broil you, but can't because it's an electric stove.

It tries to stick your head in its oven, but you're not going out like that.

Fumble Message:

It stomps after you, but pulls its plug out of the wall and has to wait for an apprentice to plug it back in. (FUMBLE!)

After Combat

You acquire an item: overcookie

Occurs at Kitchens.
