It's an additional passive skill that doesn't use up an equipment slot, +10% meat is still 10% more meat that drops passively. On another note, Castle isn't the best place to test this and 150 turns definitely isn't enough to tell what the effect is. Beanbat Chamber is usually the favorite place due to the 100% combats.
