Slime Hates It

There are nine items which can be made from a caustic slime nodule: a hat, two one-handed weapons, one two-handed weapon, an off-hand item, a pair of pants, two accessories, and a potion. They are special in two ways. The first is that the Monster level (ML) which they give is only applicable to monsters in the Slime tube. The second special aspect to these items is that the effective ML is not additive, but quadratic. The ML can be calculated by the formula min(15*N*(N+2),1000). Note: A weapon equipped by the Disembodied Hand is not included in this calculation.

To create the Slime Hates It equipment takes three steps. You must first obtain one of the rusty items shown below. Next you must enter the Slime Tube and choose "Tickle the uvula" in the Engulfed! adventure, and then enter combat and a Slime Monster may take your rusty item. If that happens then simply defeat the slime and you will receive the slime-covered version of your rusty item. And lastly you need to combine a caustic slime nodule with the newly slime-covered item. The slime-covered items, Slime Hates It items, and nodules are non-tradable.

Notes

• To achieve maximum Slime Hates It, you will need to equip either 3 bandoliers or 1 medallion and 2 bandoliers, as bandoliers are the only Slime Hates It accessory you can wear more than one of at a time.
