I'd like to know the above myself. The item says Serious resistance to all elements, but six-rainbow shield, orange peel hat and shark jumper all say the same thing but did not resist slime damage from what my clannies and I could tell last night.--Spiny Twizzler 08:44, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Yes, gives slime resistance. Spading done: With hat, damages observed were 6/5/6/4/5 Unequipping it gave 10/11/10/10/10 Equipping the porkpie hat to negate power/stat % gain differences gave 9/7/9/8/9 Therefore, it is safe to say that the slime gear gives actual slime resistance.
