I don't think this one is a reference to The Princess Bride at all. The skill's description has nothing at all to do with the movie, and a Google search for "overdeveloped sense of" comes up with tons of non-"Vengeance" results. In fact, a search for "Overdeveloped Sense of Self-Preservation" gives lots of results that have nothing at all to do with KoL. It's just a fairly common phrase.
