Off-hand items are a special form of equipment introduced during Crimbo in 2005. These are special accessories than can be equipped if the player has a 1-handed weapon or no weapon at all. The first off-hand items introduced were the rag doll, marionette, and sock monkey, three toys produced by Uncle Crimbo's workshop. The fourth off-hand item introduced into the game was the ice baby, part of the Mr. Store Item of the Month February 2006. On February 8, 2006, numerous existing accessories were converted to off-hand item status, making the position of offhand item even more useful.
