San Diego Comic-Con International (Comic-Con) is an annual comic book and pop culture convention. Since 2006, Asymmetric Publications has exhibited at the convention to promote Kingdom of Loathing. Each year, they have distributed a KoL-themed "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" booklet and a special in-game item to fans in attendance.
