Notes

  • On May 24, 2006, the description of this skill was changed from "This skill makes you significantly less likely to miss when firing a crossbow." to what it is now.
  • Until then, when a player was attacking with a crossbow and had this skill, the following message was given:
"You do not aim with your hand. He who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of Sneaky Pete. You aim with your Moxie."

References

  • The skill "Crossbow Fever" may be a reference to the 1978 film Disco Fever, which is appropriate for a Disco Bandit.
  • The description refers to the 80's ad campaign for Pringles, whose slogan was "I've got the fever for the flavor of a Pringles".
  • The former message was a reference to "The Gunslinger's Catechism" from Stephen King's Dark Tower series:
I do not aim with my hand.
He who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I aim with my Eye.
I do not shoot with my hand.
He who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I shoot with my Mind.
I do not kill with my hand.
He who kills with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I kill with my Heart.
