Revision as of 14:08, 19 February 2013
You finally fight your way across the airship and find El Cid, a small bespectacled man in grease-stained green coveralls.
"Hey dere, Protagonist, I see yez got yerzelf da fooor Immateriar! Nowr Ize can fix yerz boat fer yaz."
Apparently he thinks you're the spiky-haired loser you beat the stuffing out of repeatedly while crossing the airship. Whatever works, though.
Give him the spirits |
You hand over the spirits and he disappears into his workshop. Several hours and a couple of explosions later, he emerges covered in soot and towing your brand new Sub-Orbital Conveyance of the Kingdom. Fly, man. Superfly.
This thing should let you fly over to that castle in the distance.

Occurs at the Penultimate Fantasy Airship after all four Immateria are collected.

References
- This adventure parodies the ubiquitous Final Fantasy stock character, Cid, who is usually involved in the use of the Airships.
- The name is thus a reference to the common abbreviation of Final Fantasy' to 'FF'.
- El Cid is also the name of a famous medieval Spanish general who fought the Moors in 11th Century Spain.
- "Superfly" is a slang term that references the 1972 Blaxsploitation film of the same name.
- His manner of speaking resembles that of Coach Z, from the Homestar Runner website.
