 You're fighting an Arizona bark scorpion

I'm not talking about giant dire scorpions or anything. These guys are just regular little scorpions, about an inch long, with just enough of a nervous system inside them to identify stingable things and sting them. But that's plenty enough reason to flip the hell out when you see one.
