Moons

The moons in the Kingdom of Loathing, Ronald and Grimace, affect several things. There are certain days, called Stat Days, on which stat gains are higher for one particular stat (as is the HP or MP gained from resting). The moons also affect Temporary Lycanthropy (obtained from blood of the Wereseal), the Grue familiar, and the effects of the Talisman of Baio and the Jekyllin hide belt.

• The names of the moons, Ronald and Grimace, are very similar to Ronald McDonald and the Grimace, two of the mascots of the McDonald's fast-food restaurant chain.

• As for the moons themselves, this is very reminiscent of the old Ultima series of games by Richard Garriott.
