As with other parts of the Mysterious Island Quest, the area can initially only be accessed in one of the war outfits. It becomes available wearing the other war outfit after a sufficient number of combatants have been killed.
It is initially available to those wearing the War Hippy Fatigues. Attempting to reach the area in the Frat Warrior Fatigues before a sufficient number of hippies have been killed gives the message:
You can't make it through the horde of hippies to get to the Nunnery.
The area can be reached without an outfit, but speaking to a Nun will give the message:
"Sorry, Adventurer, but we're in the middle of something of a crisis, here, and we're waiting for the soldiers to come help us."
To receive the quest
Speak to a Nun in an appropriate outfit:
"Oh, thank Heavens you've arrived! We need help, soldier! Most desperately!"
"Calm down, calm down," you say, "what's the problem?"
"This morning, when Sister Medulla went to put the daily donation deposit in our safe, she found that it was empty! Those filthy, thieving, dirty rotten bandits from the Themthar Hills have stolen all of our Meat!
We'd be ever so grateful if you'd get it back for us."
To complete the mini-quest
Adventure in The Themthar Hills in the War Hippy Fatigues. Each time you defeat a monster, the nuns will take the meat dropped until you have recovered 100,000 meat (tbc).
Each time you win a fight, the monster will drop meat and then a random Nun will take it, with a different message depending upon the amount collected:
0-24,999 meat collected
??
25,000-49,999 meat collected
Sister $Name approaches you and takes the Meat. "Thank you for recovering this Meat!" she says. "You've recovered a good portion of the stolen Meat, but there's still plenty left."
50,000-74,999 meat collected
Sister $Name approaches you and takes the Meat. "Thank you for recovering this Meat!" she says. "You've recovered more than half of what was stolen, Adventurer! It won't be long now!"
75,000-99,999 meat collected
Sister $Name approaches you and takes the Meat. "Thank you for recovering this Meat!" she says. "You're almost done! It won't be long now until all of the Meat is recovered!"
When the quest is completed
When all of the meat (100,000?) has been recovered, the message at the end of the combat is:
Sister $Name approaches you and takes the Meat. "Thank you for recovering this Meat!" she says. "I think this is the last of it! However can we repay you for your assistance?"
"Well," you say, "it would really help the war effort if your convent could serve as a hospital for our wounded troops."
"Consider it done," she says. "Stop by whenever you need healing, and we'll be glad to assist you."
Attempting to adventure in The Themthar Hills after the meat is recovered gives the message:
You've already retrieved all of the stolen Meat
After completing the mini-quest
"Hello, weary Adventurer! Please, allow us to tend to your wounds."
- The nuns will now restore all of your HP for free three times per day.
- Apparently, the nuns will heal a maximum of 1000 HP per visit.
- Afterwards, when you attempt to visit, they will say that all sisters are busy today, and to return tomorrow.
