pirate tract
This is a treatise on nautical astronomy. Although you're not particularly interested in navigation, its descriptions of the various movements of the stars could contribute to your knowledge of the workings of the universe.
Plus there's a section in the back where you can connect the dots to make up your own constellations, and that's always fun. Look, a bunny!
