- "Jeorb" and the strange pronunciation given for "brains" are references to Homestar Runner, specifically Coach Z's accent and his inability to say the word "job" in the cartoon "A Jorb Well Done".
- The part about looking like a zombie in the light of the moon is most likely a reference to Pirates of the Caribbean and its zombie pirate crew.
