This fire-lizard has enhanced its protective scales with a shell of volcanic rock. Since its only natural predator is presumably the lava lamprey, this is probably going to result in those evolving into something even more horrible than they already are.

It breathes fire at you. Which seems like it wouldn't add much, since you're already swimming in lava, but it's surprisingly effective. (hot damage)
