Trippy Floating Head You're fighting a Trippy Floating Head

Woah... for some reason, there's a giant head floating in space in front of you. You don't know what its name is, but since there aren't any monsters with it, it's probably not "Todd." There are ten reasons why this head trips you out... but the most trippy thing is that it appears to be giving you a special long-distance dedication.

Hit Message(s):

It ponders you until you feel your toes start to tingle. This is ponderous, man. Freaking ponderous. Oof! Ouch! Ooh!

It flies straight through you. A cold chill passes halfway up your body, turns into a warm chill, and continues passing. Argh! Ugh! Oof! (spooky damage)

It swoops around you, cackling madly. Your cerebral cortex starts to ache. Ow! Ouch! Eek! (spooky damage)

Critical Hit Message:

It spins around and creates a whirling vortex of cackling insanity. Unfortunately for you, you get your cortex caught in it. You should have paid more attention to those bumper stickers, man. Ouch! Ow! Ugh! (spooky damage)

Miss Message(s):

It ponders you, gazing deep into your soul. However, you figure out the head's from England, and therefore you don't give a crap.

It flies straight through you. You feel a little turned on, but it wasn't painful.

It swoops around you cackling madly, but you close your eyes and hum a happy tune.

Fumble Message:

It spins around and creates a vortex of cackling insanity. Fortunately, you remember the lessons you learned from bumper stickers and don't get your cortex caught in it. (FUMBLE!)

Occurs during the Bad Trip.

References

  • The head resembles Casey Kasem, whose radio shows often featured Long-distance dedications and top ten lists. This may also be the cause for the naming of the Kasem Nebula.
  • The quote "This is ponderous, man. Freaking ponderous" references the Negativland song U2: Special Edition Remix, which features Casey Kasem saying those very words. Similarly, the line about being from England and not giving a crap comes from the same song, taken from an outtake from Casey Kasem's show where he exclaimed about U2, "These guys are from England, and who gives a sh*t?". It's not censored in the song or the outtake.
  • The line: You don't know what its name is, but since there aren't any monsters with it, it's probably not "Todd." references the name of Colorado rock band, Big Head Todd and the Monsters.
