black lotus
black lotus

This is a beautiful and rare flower. It's so beautiful that it's illegal to use in flower tournaments, because it gives its owner such an unfair advantage. Luckily, it's so rare that this hardly ever becomes an issue. But it's so beautiful that when it does come up, everybody is really impressed, and due to its rarity they're more likely to remember it for a long time.

The point I'm trying to make is that it's very rare and beautiful, okay.

  • Upon completion of your 25th ascension, this item can be purchased from The Gift Shop.
  • This item has the highest autosell value in the game, being an efficient meat source as a pull from Hagnk's.

References

  • The name, image and text for this item are references to the Black Lotus card from the card game Magic: The Gathering. The Black Lotus is incredibly rare and is illegal to use in virtually all Magic: The Gathering tournament formats. As the description infers, the card does give the owner an unfair advantage and, in combination with other cards (of which some are equally rare), can grant victory on the first turn.
  • "You gain 3MP of any color" refers to what the card does: it gives you 3 mana of any color. In Magic Mana comes in the colors white, blue, black, red and green.
  • Tapping and untapping this item is another part of the system in Magic: The Gathering (and in numerous CCG's, or collectible card games, that followed). A card is turned sideways to indicate that it is somehow being used for the turn and cannot be used again until it is untapped. The original Black Lotus card does not tap but is instead sacrificed.
