Hmm -- the reason I put in a link to the Clerks reference was that Clerks is the source of many other pop-cultural references in KoL. This seemed likely to be another such reference, albeit subtle. The two moons are named after McDonalds characters, so a quote by a Clerks character saying that Grimace (the McDonalds character) can't be killed seems apropos to Grimace (the KoL moon) being hit (but not killed) by a comet.
Since many of the other pages in this wiki list the references to popular culture for a given item or quest in KoL (or speculations on what they might be), it seemed reasonable to add such here. Apparently, it wasn't, since my addition was unceremoniously deleted.
