Since brawnee's anthem is damage reduction rather than absorption, it shouldn't be in this chart. Also, since antiques break, they're not very practical for adventuring in. Maybe there ought to be some mention of this, with plexi equipment given as an alternative for the "villa/diety" types, since it's the next best in terms of DA alone (and is better generally when consitering other factors besides just DA).--[[User:Dead guys watch|Dead guys watch]] 05:28, 14 April 2007 (CDT) | Since brawnee's anthem is damage reduction rather than absorption, it shouldn't be in this chart. Isn't the Fez a custom item? Lord Sonny 18:32, 8 May 2006 (CDT)

Redone page to use total damage absorption (power+bonus) rather than just the bonus! Also added in % of damage reduced.--D0om 19:31, 1 January 2006 (Central Standard Time)
if moxie helps damage absorbtion, shouldn't we include accesorys that help moxie? or are there other damage absorbtion accesorys? this page seems like it needs work.--A and m 08:39, 1 March 2006 (CST)
Only normal and above could have a Gnauga hide buckler, the Apathetic players can wear Cola Shields and Turtle Tamer Bucklers. The off-hand Damage Absorption is 30-40 for them ( I can't change it, 'cause I don't know how to create/edit tables ) --Fernando Bono 16:09, 5 April 2006 (CDT)
Moxie effect on Absorption
- I am very confused on the effects of moxie on damage absorption. If it does indeed affect absorption then other items that give high moxie should be added to the page as the MAHI Fez has already been created (That only gives moxie). --SomeStranger 13:26, 29 March 2006 (CST)
- Moxie does not affect damage absorption at all. (It does affect the amount of damage that a monster will deal to you, but absorption affects how much of that damage you actually take.)--Hellion 16:24, 5 April 2006 (CDT)
Wait, shouldn't TT's power doubling skill be in here?
If it doubles power, then it effects absorbtion and should probably be in the table Linkman95 18:59, 11 April 2006 (CDT)
It is on the table, halfway down, between "Accessory 3" and "Astral Shell". --IMJack 19:21, 11 April 2006 (CDT)
SC skills are ascender level?
Wouldn't the SC skills be considered normal (even apathetic) ways to increase your damage absorbtion? They seem quite easy to get (although I guess not for all classes).. --Ninjapinko 19:08, 3 February 2007 (CST)
- Never mind, I just read the 'maximising...' main page on the categories. Still seems wonky to me, but I suppose this is a case of RTFM... --Ninjapinko 19:21, 3 February 2007 (CST)
Brawnees Anthem. also, the problem with antiques
Since brawnee's anthem is damage reduction rather than absorption, it shouldn't be in this chart. Also, since antiques break, they're not very practical for adventuring in. Maybe there ought to be some mention of this, with plexi equipment given as an alternative for the "villa/diety" types, since it's the next best in terms of DA alone (and is better generally when consitering other factors besides just DA).--Dead guys watch 05:28, 14 April 2007 (CDT)
Damage resistance
Why don't we also put damage reduction on here? It seems silly to not have a shield in the off hand slot just because its reduction and not damage absorption.
