Really? From what I've read (admittedly, I was not around at this time) the cannon never actually fired, it was just designed in a sort of "We'll use this if you don't back off" fashion. | |||

Wrong, wrong, wrong. n00bs. The canon was built to thwart the penguin mafia and ended up blasting a hole in the sky. There's even a plaque of the largest contributers to the cannon fund in the cannon museum. If I remember right, around the time of white wednesday, when hagnk's burned down and the rifts appears, a rift damaged the cannon. And now it is finally being reconstructed.
