The name comes from the beverage Red Bull, whose slogan was that it would "give you wings".

This item used to be rare, and was hacked off the item database. It was originally planned by Jick to be a drop at the Castle in the Sky, but it never happened.
As of February 2, 2006, Cans of Red Minotaur drop South of the Border.
