Are you new in the game? Because if you are, you're in LUCK!
Luck, unlike in other RPGs, is not part of your stats. There is a special object that can grant you great luck for one adventure. You can get it from some guy who likes to trade, or find it on the beach or at the bottom of the barrel. There's even an item that brings you even more luck. And after all that happens, your lucky stars might help you find more.
Adventuring with this special object can cause a hard-to-get item for a quest to drop, or help you find special items that you can't normally find. You might need a little luck to build your toy collection. You can also get more meat from a luck-related creature I know of. On a special day you can even mix up a lucky drink.
Sometimes it's wise to save your luck for later use. That is why you might do something with that special object to make it less lucky. Of course if you don't use any luck you might just find yourself out of luck, which might be a good thing.
