*Actually, it ''is'' a cache issue on your end, since I'm not seeing it. Incidentally, the template shows up on Wednesday and Thursday - since Tuesday updates invariably come out on Tuesday '''night''', there's no point in displaying it when nothing's likely to have been updated. --{{User:Quietust/sig}} 16:45, 20 July 2007 (CDT) | *Actually, it ''is'' a cache issue on your end, since I'm not seeing it. It works. :)--Dehstil 16:46, 29 May 2006 (CDT)
- I think it would be muuuuch cooler if we gave it two modes. Auto and Manual. If it was a holiday it would override the manual. This would have to be done with individual if statements for all holidays though. If it was not a holiday then there would be another option which would either turn it off or on, and if it was on then there would be a spot to put the name of the template. As a side note I think we should use "ANNOUNCE" instead of "Announce" to keep consistant with "FEATURE"--SomeStranger (Talk | Contribs) 16:53, 29 May 2006 (CDT)
- Oops I just did that it's now auto/manual..sorta.--Dehstil 17:02, 29 May 2006 (CDT)
- Would it look better just above the quicklinks?--Dehstil 17:25, 29 May 2006 (CDT)
- This won't need much updating until next June 2007. It's just a cycle of Halloween, FeastofBoris, Valentines, SneakyPetes, and Oyster over and over. I'm not sure, but holidays should happen on their real-life counterparts too, right? Maybe not? The listing of past holidays on Feast of Boris and http://kol.thraeryn.org/moons.php are confusing me, so those might need to be fixed. Also, halloween falls on crimbo this year, yay!--Dehstil 14:42, 30 May 2006 (CDT)
- Yep, they do fall on real ones as well. For example, how do you think Sneaky Pete's Oyster day came about?--SomeStranger (T | C) 14:58, 30 May 2006 (CDT)
- Ok what do we do about CrimboHalloween?--Dehstil 15:32, 30 May 2006 (CDT)
- We wait =). It is 6 months away?--SomeStranger (T | C) 15:39, 30 May 2006 (CDT)
- I was confused by the on/off thing. Post any objections etc. to the way I did it here.--Dehstil (t|c) 21:53, 29 June 2006 (CDT)
No Feast of Boris on Thanksgiving. --Raijinili 00:20, 23 November 2006 (CST)
I added an #ifeq statement so the tuesday update doesn't show up on the Tuesday page. --Starwed 23:44, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
Protect
Any objections to edit-protecting this page? You know, what with it being transcluded directly onto the front page of the site and all. --Quietust (t|c) 17:19, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
Two holidays
Today, it just so happens that two holidays fall on the same day - Halloween and Dependence day. I edited the template to add Dependence day, but it doesn't seem to support both. Probably b/c the template uses "switch". Any ideas anyone? --Duke33 07:03, 5 July 2007 (CDT)
"Tuesday"
It's Friday afternoon. Erm, I thought the Tuesday banner was only supposed to show up on Tuesday/Wednesday? Not a cache issue on my end. --Bagatelle 16:21, 20 July 2007 (CDT)
- Actually, it is a cache issue on your end, since I'm not seeing it. Incidentally, the template shows up on Wednesday and Thursday - since Tuesday updates invariably come out on Tuesday night, there's no point in displaying it when nothing's likely to have been updated. --Quietust (t|c) 16:45, 20 July 2007 (CDT)
- Since there have been no Tuesday updates since NS13, I'd suggest that the Tuesday banner not be shown automatically until they become regular occurrences again. --Starwed 06:42, 1 August 2007 (CDT)
