I thought it was always small "k" in "Mer-kin". --Club (#66669) (Talk) 05:06, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- It's a capital-K here. Typo likely... --Fig bucket (talk) 11:44, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

- A quidditch pitch has little to do with something that's most likely modeled on ancient Greek architecture. I get what you are saying with regards to the elevated rings, but I don't think Quidditch every-time I see something like that. Being an underwater city/temple complex I would think Atlantis or even Aquaman before going for a Harry Potter reference.--MageRed (talk) 17:20, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
11,037 Leagues Under the Sea
I'm going to put the text of the Mer-kin guards asking for and receiving their bribes here, pending a better sense of where this should go (i.e., how the Deepcity/Temple articles should be organized):
- The five guards each hold out a hand. They look as though they are expecting a tip or a bribe. Seeing your confusion, one of the[sic] mimes finding an oyster somewhere in the sea, opening it, taking out a pearl, wiping it down, gazing in astonishment at the lack of blemish on the pearl, then handing the pearl to themselves, and then stepping away from the door. That guard should really consider taking up a career in mimery!
- You hand each of the five guards an unblemished pearl. They mime their thanks and step aside. I guess all mer-kin guards are expert mimes.
