In the aftermath of White Wednesday, several temporal rifts were torn open in the Kingdom. As well as the immediate effects of being able to travel back and forward in time, several shockwaves shook the Kingdom, causing damages to other sections of it.
Temporal Rifts were found in…
- The Nearby Plains, leading to the distant past
- Over Mt. McLargeHuge, taking those who enter into the recent past
- The Distant Woods, taking adventurers half a year into the past
- The Mysterious Island of Mystery, flinging brave travellers into the distant future
- The Council of Loathing also ripped their very own temporal rift to a time 28 days later
Shockwaves however, caused several other things to revert to their previous states.
- The time ripples caused the uncompleted Cannon (Which was originaly to be used on the Penguin Mafia) to appear in the front of the Seaside Town again
- The penguins from the past managed to escape and reconstruct Uncle P's Antique's store (with a slightly more limited stock however)
- A Temporal Rift opened within Hagnk’s Ancestral Mini-Storage leading to a time when “everything was on fireâ€. The rift quickly closed, but not before burning down the majority of Hagnk’s.
Notes
- On November 7th (the day after the Gray Plague was wiped out) the council's rift was sealed
- On Nov. 18, 2005, it was reported that the rifts were beginning to close.
- On that same day, the rift in the woods closed, followed by the Island rift one day later.
- On November 21st, 2005, the rift in the Nearby Plains was closed to anyone level 6 or higher, much to the dismay of cola item farmers.
- Finally, on December 1st, 2005, the rift at the Icy Peak closed, once again closing off the Mob Penguins in the mists of time.
References
- The name and image may be from an old PC game entitled Loom.
- The Mini-Storage rift leading to a time when "everything was on fire" is a double reference to the cartoon Family Guy where Peter recalls building a time machine with a De Lorean, a reference to the 1985 movie Back to the Future, in which the time-traveling De Lorean must reach high speeds to begin the process. Peter jumps into the car, builds up speed, and promptly crashes into a building full of people, setting them and the building on fire, to which Peter exclaims, stunned,"Wow. Everyone in 1955 was on fire! I did not know that!"
