A Wicked Web

You find a wriggling cocoon of spiderwebs dangling from the ceiling. Something must be trapped in there!

Bust it open

You violently assault the cocoon, causing it to explode in a shower of gold and blood.

With a sturdy machete equipped:

Carefully slice it open with your machete

You slice open the web. The wriggling thing turns out to be an ancient prehistoric damselfly, who lands on your shoulder and giggles.

You slice open the web, revealing a friendly skeleton!

or:

You slice open the web. The wriggling thing turns out to resourceful-looking kid, who smiles at you and begins following you around.

Gain a Resourceful Kid buddy

or if you already have a buddy:

You slice open the web and a bunch of golds fall out. it must have been secreted away by a greedy spider.

With a torch equipped:

Burn it

The web bursts into flame as though it were made for just that purpose. Among the ashes that are left you find a significant amount of gold!
