The Steampunk Giant's room has more copper tubing in it than you'd use to plumb a whole house, and more wood than a forest full of horny lumberjacks. A Jacob's Ladder zaps away in one corner, and most of the flat surfaces are covered with little steam-powered clockwork whirligigs whose purposes are hard to divine (and which are probably solely ornamental).

There's a little crack in the baseboards behind you, and through it you can smell incense and hear muted sobbing.

Investigate the Whirligigs and Gimcrackery

You twirl some whirligigs and crack some gimcracks, but most of this stuff is more pretty than useful, like the wrong sort of girl to marry.

You do find, though, what looks to be a working model rocket, with a lacquered wooden fuselage and copper tubing leading to exhaust ports that look like they might actually do something. It's just the right size for you, and it looks like it even has a miniature, fully-functional cockpit. Neat!
