The Cottage is a type of housing that is located at your Campground.

Obtained by using a cottage.
The Cottage is the second best type of housing, providing a base gain of 28-30 HP and 30 MP at rollover or when resting at your campsite.
The cottage is an upgrade to the Barskin Tent and other lesser types of housing, but can in turn be upgraded to a House.
The Cottage provides a defensive bonus during PvP (Player versus Player).
Upon ascension, your Cottage is lost and must be re-obtained in your next incarnation.
On one episode of 120 minutes with Jick and Skully, Jick mentioned the fact that the "bowl" in the bowl of cottage cheese becomes the roof.
