Talk:Spooky Putty monster
Attempting to create a second monster using a second sheet yields the message " You've already got one copy of a monster, and you're too scared to hold onto more than one at a time." so I guess it impossible to determine a plural --Mskc 10:03, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Some notes: Can be used whilst falling down drunk (results in combat with the monster fine). Can be used in hardcore. Used on a monster from the sea means that you can fight that monster out of the sea without the 2-turn adventure loss and without needing the scuba gear or das boot. --Bigcalm 13:33, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
I was able to use the sheet against fruit golems and then use this while I was in BM:--Gotmilk 16:18, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Say, if it was used on an ultra-rare monster or a boss like the knob goblin king, what would happen? .--YuriGagarine 12:38, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Spooky Putty sheet is the item actually used, so check that. The information's there. --Raijinili 17:43, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
It works on Worm_wood monsters. --Andy00 18:10, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
It works on Frat/Hippy heroes as well - just puttied a Next Gen Frat Boy --Hoobity 11:52, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
Well I tried against The Crimbomination
This monster is a little too scary for you to make a copy of it.
I assume this is going to be the same for bosses.
-Tried it against Oscus, got "This monster is a little too scary for you to make a copy of it." so I'm guessing boss type monsters and possibly ultra rare monsters won't allow copying. --Xsmootx 21:40, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
-My bad, that's the sheet --Xsmootx 22:08, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Although the sheet is now unusable in HC if you had a monster copy when it was changed you could still use the fight. Just a nifty bit of info that i felt should be shared.--Gotmilk 18:03, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
%copymonster
Methinks the line about %copymonster is a bug. Once fixed, I imagine it will actually tell you which monster you have a copy of. --Lordebon 19:36, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
questions
- Do copied monsters have regular meat and item drops?
- Copied Frat/Hippy war monsters killed don't count towards war totals, right?
- Same as 2 for Hobo fight counts.
- Easy way to use rampaging adding machine or hulking construct to process your combat items?
- Faster way to get the black pudding trophy?
I've got a silly putty now, but no adventures left, and these answers probably belong here anyway. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 22:28, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- As for #5, the answer is no - the Black Pudding cannot be copied with this item. Wrldwzrd89 22:59, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
In limited testing (statistics need lots more testing than I will likely do), #1, seems to be yes. #2 seems to be "Correct, don't count". #3, that was more interesting. I copied a sewer gator, found my way through the sewers, and fought a hobo. Next I fought my putty gator and then found I was locked out of Hobopolis Town Square. I was able to "reset" town square access by fighting in the Sewers again, but had to use a remote form to arrange for the fight. I didn't get to try copying a dirty thieving brigand, and now I'm curious about that. That could have been a good source of meat after the miniquest. Oh, and you can copy monsters when blind, and then know what they are when fighting non-blind. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 18:40, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
