-- Question - is there a reason Phoenix's Sparkly Engagement Ring images.kingdomofloathing.com/itemimages/fatrock.gif (fatrock.gif) is not on this page? see: descitem(241990328) -MinuteEgg --MinuteEgg 13:52, 5 May 2006 (CDT) (effing http code removed because the anti-spam doesn't like me for some reason)
- I guess we didn't know it existed. Anyone know its item number? It's not even here yet. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 14:30, 5 May 2006 (CDT)

I changed the page as of Nov. 18th- took Mr. Exploiter off of the "No longer purchasable" list, and the "Old Peak" items off. -shadowhntr7
Shouldn't Sober Pills go in here somewhere? Maybe old Mr. Store familiars as well? --Gymnosophist 16:50, 4 Aug 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
I have saved description text from some of the no longer in existence items like Cranmopolitan (This is a vodka and cranberry with a little extra something. That little extra something being a slight change in presentation and an extra big cranberry stuck in it.) and Skewered cranberry (This is a big fat cranberry with a sword stuck through it.). Should those have pages? --Club 15:29, 23 Aug 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
- I vote yes to that. It would be great if you had the drink message too. --Pcentella 08:32, 24 Aug 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
- What about hot dog unlockers? Somebody1234 (talk) 02:08, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
The bling was recently moved from the custom items section to the gifts no longer available section. It was compared to the Otorian Battle Scar, N. O. Beer and blank white card. Personally, I think they're far closer to a custom item than it is to either of those 3, because it's untradeable, and not something to be given away in a philanthropic fashion. Perhaps the bling and, well, the big ol' trophy, consolation ribbon, and Frank Gorshin trophy need to be moved to some sort of "Untradeable gifts from the admin" section. Those items were given to several people for specific reasons, while the others in the gifts section were given away randomly. Anyone agree or got a better idea? Am I dead wrong in my line of thought? --Ricket 21:21, 11 April 2006 (CDT)
I did a revamp of this page again, on April 14, 06. I put the old Mr. Store items, some White Wednesday items, and other stuff. I or someone else needs to go through and clean up the categories they're all sorted in sometime. There's too many of them and they're kind of half-assed. --sl1me 09:12, 14 April 2006 (CDT)
Actually, Quietust, mafia wines were purchasable from the Mafia 'players' in /villa. While that isn't purchasing from an NPC like the other items, that's probably what the person who originally put them there meant. --sl1me 03:06, 17 April 2006 (CDT)
- I believe the only wine purchasable by those in /villa was the Ferita Del Petto Zinfandel for the low, low price of 20 million meat. --Ricket 03:39, 17 April 2006 (CDT)
Items that are strictly one-per-player
The ones listed (from the tutorial) are quest items - as such I don't think they belong on the rare items page (as you can't keep them anyway). --NewZorkBat 07:44, 29 April 2006 (CDT)
Shouldn't rose colored glasses be in a different sections since they are untradeable?--Williabr 07:06, 1 May 2006 (CDT)
Hacked but non-rare?
According to the opening paragraph: "Also included are hacked Items, as well as items used solely for testing and never available outside of exploits." Shouldn't non-rare hacks (such as hot stuffing) be included? --DirkDiggler 13:24, 8 May 2006 (CDT)
- No. Because this article is about rare items, not hacked ones.--Someone Else 13:49, 8 May 2006 (CDT)
- Acquring hot stuffing is far from hacking. --Ricket 21:06, 8 May 2006 (CDT)
Reorganized
Well, I attempted to reorganize it, but I think it was only mildly successful. I'm not sure what to do about these Special Event items that I moved to the bottom. I mean, they're not rares... but I suppose it's true that they don't drop anymore either. Yar. --LucySpace (Talk|Cntrb) 06:58, 20 June 2006 (CDT)
- Also, what the heck is this thing? --LucySpace (Talk|Cntrb) 07:15, 20 June 2006 (CDT)
Mysterious Trader Items
Seeing as these probably cannot be purchased again, they should be included in a different sub-section in the Special section. This would mean that Arse-a'fire elixir and Cosmic lemonade would have to be moved, but allow for the inclusion of Bunch of Bananas and Powdered toad horn. --Manial 05:18, 10 March 2007 (CST)
Gems
Should semi-rare gems such as the glacial sapphire be included somewhere here? While not prohibitively expensive in the mall, they aren't exactly common either (much like the spooky hockey mask).--Dorf (t|c) 19:04, 10 July 2007 (CDT)
I would argue that we should have a "semi-rare" section for the implemented semi-rares, and instead bump up the current "semi-rares" to outright "rare status." The supergems should go into the semi-rare section. Also, shouldn't we move the crimbo gifts/stockings from "no longer drop" to "Crimbo gifts?" I don't know, this page's organization just confuses the hell out of me.--MaskedLihc 21:24, 16 July 2007 (CDT)
Pirate Rares?
How should Pirate rares be classified? Rainbow Pearl and it's jewelcrafting productions (rainbow pearl earring, rainbow pearl necklace, and rainbow pearl ring), Stone Triangles and the Strange Tiki Idol. Would all of these be considered items that no longer drop? Cookie3 00:16, 19 December 2007 (CST)
- The idol doesn't pulverize into an ultimate wad, so it doesn't match the ultra-rare profile, so it probably belongs on the no-longer-drop category. The others (mostly) animate, though, so presumably they're URs. --Bagatelle 17:17, 19 December 2007 (CST)
- Cookie3 wasn't implying the tiki idol should be listed as an ultra-rare, just a rare that no longer drops. Also, the pirate rares are all animated (rainbow pearls, as well as crafted jewelry from them, and tiki idols) as are the common drops from the pearl and tiki islands. Animation does not necessarily preclude ultra-rare status. --Spleenmaster 15:23, 3 January 2008 (CST)
Hallowe'eny things?
Should the beholed bedsheet et al be included in the special items section? Is there any reason to suppose they'll drop again? --Campboy 18:13, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- I suspect that the set of Halloween XXV drops should be added here as well. --Itsatrap 00:43, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, Halloween XXV stuff is all added, plus some extra notes about Halloween XX stuff. --Itsatrap 19:43, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
Unexplained Tremors
I would guess that this was a one-time event, and so stuff like the floaty inverse geode, crystallized memory, and control crystal aren't likely to drop again. I'll add this eventually, unless someone else gets around to it first. --Itsatrap 00:43, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, these did get added already. I put the rockfish stomach in there for good measure. --Itsatrap 19:43, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
Crimbo stuff, and the page getting long?
The page is starting to get really long, and it's only going to grow. Suggestions? The Traveling Trader stuff is also already contained on its own page, as are the SSPD drops. Not sure what to do with the Crimbo stuff though. --Itsatrap 23:39, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
OK, why do I keep getting a fatal error whenever I try to edit this page?--JohnAnon 05:23, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- And.... the page is now effectively uneditable. That is, it takes so long to process updates that the 30-second timeout consistently kicks in. --Itsatrap 23:15, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
- Hmmm, I moved the Crimbo stuff out into its own manageable chunk, which shrinks the "special items" category enough to make it editable again. --Itsatrap 23:31, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
- The same problem has struck again. --Wrldwzrd89 20:49, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- UPDATE: I moved Mr. Store items and Crimbo items to their own pages, but this page still refuses to let me edit it, so I can shrink it back below the timeout threshold. --Wrldwzrd89 21:07, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- UPDATE 2: Problem solved with section editing... at least for now. --Wrldwzrd89 21:20, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
