Zombies are a noisy bunch. They scream, they moan, they howl at the moon… I mean, look, they're in constant physical, emotional, and existential pain. Wouldn't you? The natural benefit of all this, is that people are a lot less likely to take notice of you when there's a bunch of zombies nearby making a shrieking ruckus.
Sacrifice some zombies to make monsters less attracted to you for a while
